“Home made profitable.”

That’s how TV host and triple-threat expert in real estate, renovation, and finance Scott McGillivray describes his hit series Income Property. Originally premiering on HGTV Canada, Income Property is now available to stream for free in the US for the first time ever, exclusively on At Home with Family Handyman.

Over 10 seasons, Scott shows homeowners with cash problems how to create income suites in their home as a way to generate additional revenue to defray mortgage costs in a harsh real-estate market. In the face of current property value declines, Scott evaluates, plans, and executes renovations that provide long-term rental solutions for property investors.

McGillivray started buying student rental properties and doing the handiwork himself when he was in university. “After buying and renovating a few properties I decided to become a licensed contractor. Renovating is both a passion of mine and something I feel deserves attention to detail.”

He absolutely loves “coming up with clever and efficient design plans. Understanding the renovation process and always thinking like the owner of a property forces me to think critically about how the budget, timelines, and quality of the work will play out.”

And when it comes to Income Property specifically, McGillivray describes it as a “special show. Not only does it inspire design and renovation ideas, it gives people a road map to real estate investing and true potential of their home.”

If you want to see Scott’s handiwork and real estate prowess in action, tune in to Income Property on At Home with Family Handyman, premiering Mondays through Saturdays starting at 7pm ET.

The channel is currently available to stream on Samsung TV Plus, XUMO, The Roku Channel, LG Channels, Plex, fuboTV, and Sling Freestream. At Home is also available through the Family Handyman app on iOS, Apple TV, Android, AndroidTV, FireTV and Roku devices.
