Looking for a perfectly cozy outdoor chair that fits seamlessly into almost any design scheme? Aren’t we all—or at least, we were until we found this patio egg chair from Better Homes & Gardens.

Our executive editor, Megan Wood, first saw the egg chair styled by a sparkling swimming pool on social media. “I couldn’t get over to Walmart’s site fast enough to order one for my living room,” she says. And she wasn’t the only one who scrambled (get it?) over to Walmart to order the sought-after egg chair. In fact, the rattan statement piece was out of stock for most of 2021.

Fortunately, it’s back this spring in four wicker-cushion combinations. “When I got the coveted ‘back in stock email,’ I immediately secured one with cream cushions,” Wood adds. The Better Homes & Gardens egg chair offers deep, cushy seating and is weather-resistant, so you can put it in a patio, garden, porch or poolside space.

What is the Better Homes & Gardens patio egg chair?

The wicker egg chair is a stationary, egg-shaped accent chair that is stylish, comfortable and durable. It has wicker design accents, removable polyester cushions and a rust-resistant finish. That means it’s easy to clean and stands up to the elements.

The comfy statement chair comes in neutral tones that can be streamlined into your outdoor (or indoor) decor style. Our executive editor opted to put her egg chair indoors and it has become the star of her living room. “It’s rare for someone to come over and not comment on it and immediately take a seat,” Wood says. “It’s an ideal spot to cozy up and watch TV or read a book.”

How to Use the Better Homes & Gardens Patio Egg Chair

Out on a patio, in a greenhouse or in your living room, wherever you put this patio egg chair, it’s going to hatch. And by hatch, we mean it’s going to become the focal piece. You might even want one for inside and outside.

“I have the space for a second egg chair, and I’m strongly considering ordering another,” Wood says. “If I ever have a swimming pool, I’ll move them outside.”

Wood has had the egg chair for nearly two years, and she says the included back, bottom and side cushions have held up well with regular use (and the occasional stain stick cleanup).

The good news is that putting the patio egg chair together is a one-person job and incredibly easy. “The back of the chair is divided into three sections that stack on top of each other and secure together,” Wood describes. “If you push too hard on the conjoined areas, there’s a bit of give. But I don’t feel that when I sit in the chair.”
