I love welcoming guests into my home with a wreath hanging on the front door — I have one for every season! But fall wreaths are particularly beautiful, full of rich colors and textures.
I’ve gathered some of my favorite autumn wreath inspiration for this year, including spooky, elegant and modern styles. Most are DIY-friendly, even if you’re a crafting novice. The hardest part is choosing which one to make (or buy)!
Modern Triangle Wreath
I had never seen a triangle wreath until I came across this beauty from @darling_grape, made with eucalyptus and other fall foliage. She created the perfect balance of autumn colors, along with green leaves for freshness.

Spooky Floral Wreath
For Halloween enthusiasts like me, the first day of fall means it’s time to bring out all our spooky decor!
This all-black wreath by @janeelovesbeer is creepy and beautiful — who knew that was possible? Dark flowers, small bats and spindly foliage (amaranth that almost look like spider legs) create an elegant gothic look. To recreate this wreath, use a black grapevine wreath as your base
Copper and Champagne Wreath

Of course, there’s no reason you can’t throw aside the traditional red and orange tones of fall and go color crazy! This rainbow pumpkin wreath by @gaynorlubo is the perfect burst of playful color for your front door.
She made it with pumpkin picks in two sizes. Simply paint each pumpkin different colors to create the rainbow effect, then remove the sticks and glue to a wreath form.

Waxed Leaf Wreath
Sometimes you can find everything you need for a fall wreath by going on a nature walk (my kids love to help). @mysimplewild fashioned this pretty one with fall leaves, hawthorn berries and rose hips.
After collecting her supplies outside, she preserved them with beeswax, then arranged and attached everything on a round piece of cardboard with a hot glue gun.
To wax your leaves, dip each in melted beeswax, let it drip for a moment over the pot of wax, then lay on parchment paper to dry.

Dollar Tree Skull Wreath
Whether you buy a wreath or purchase the supplies to make your own, it can be surprisingly expensive. That’s why this skull wreath from @kait.dow impressed me so much. Can you believe she bought everything at the dollar store?
Watch as she cuts the skulls in half, attaches them to a wire wreath form, then paints the whole thing black. Clever!
Acorn Wreath
