Grass Seed Broadcaster

Those plastic berry containers from the store have more uses than simply keeping your fruit fresh. The holes along the bottom make them perfect for spreading grass seed evenly around your yard.

Once your berries have been eaten, wash the container with soap and water and let it dry out completely. Then when it’s time to fix bare spots in your lawn, fill up the container with grass seed and shake it over the problem areas. Be sure to follow the instructions on the grass seed package after spreading the seeds.

Berry packages also work well for spreading fertilizer in the garden, so be sure to save them on fridge-cleaning day!
