I don’t like tossing used blades, damaged nails and other sharp objects into the garbage can because they can slice open the trash bag and be quite dangerous. So I use an empty spice jar to safely dispose of used utility knife blades and other small sharp objects in the workshop.
The small plastic bottle with a secure lid is durable, so sharp points and edges won’t cut through it, and it can be mounted on a shelf or taken with you to a project site, and you won’t have to worry about safety when disposing of used blades and other sharp items. Once the bottle is full, it can be tossed into the garbage can. — Bill Nelson
