The Family Handyman
Scratching your head over how to mark a cutting line all the way around a cylindrical workpiece? No problem, thanks to another great tip from Larry LeMasters. Measure and mark the cutoff location on the front and back sides of the cylinder, then wrap a sheet of construction paper around the cylinder, aligning the paper edge with both marks. Next trace the cutting line, then saw along that line to create a square-cut end.
