This plywood box with casters makes a perfect stand for small power tools such as jointers, table saws and drill presses. To lock the stand in place, you just flip down the board at the base. Cut the board wide enough so it will lift the casters off the floor when you flip it down. Then screw it on the bottom of one of the end panels using 3-in. wide butt hinges. When you’re planing or sawing (in the direction of the flipped-down hinged board), the stand can’t move. Tack rubber or leather strips on the hinged board for extra slip resistance.
