Build this multi-purpose tool tote in a half-hour and you’ll have a step-stool, workbench and mini-sawhorse that’s ready for instant use.

Use a 26-in. long 1×12 for the top, a 24-in. long 1×12 for the bottom tray, two 12-in. long 1x12s for the legs, and two 25-1/2-in. long 1x3s for the tray sides. Screw it together using 3-in. drywall screws and glue.

For an even more rugged bench, use L-brackets to connect the underside of the top to the two sides.

Store larger tools on the shelf, and attach smaller tools to the ends with small Spring Grip Organizers and small pot magnets.
