Build some clever plywood clamp extenders to use when bar clamps are too short to do the job. It beats the trick of joining two bar clamps in the middle.
My new best buddy, Doug Casper, sent in this gem of a tip. He built some clever plywood clamp extenders to use when his bar clamps are too short to do the job. I think it’s brilliant. And it sure beats the old trick of joining two bar clamps in the middle. If you’ve tried that, you know it never works very well. Plus, this has the advantage of putting more pressure all along the edge of the boards rather than just where the end of the clamp is. Good job, Doug. — Travis Larson
