Reader Doug Swanson make this custom furniture for his dogs. Great work Doug!
“I’ve completed a new ramp and window seat for my two dachshunds. They both love being able to see out of our front window, but one of them has recently developed back issues, which made it difficult for him to jump up on the old window seat.”
“This new seat has built-in storage, a safety railing to keep them from jumping on or off and a carpeted ramp for easy access. The seat started out as two unfinished oak wall cabinets, which were fastened back-to-back. The ramp was built from scratch and has a 45-degree angle built in to maximize floor space. The seat and ramp are two separate units, each with casters, which allows for easy moving when it’s time to vacuum.” — Doug Swanson
