Slick Corner Painting Tip

Keep tape running straight down a wall

Family Handyman

Here’s a neat trick I learned from my father-in-law for painting corners where two different colors meet on adjoining walls. Instead of taping right at the corner, cheat the tape a quarter inch away from the corner and run it down the wall’s nice flat surface. It’s much easier to get the tape to look straight and you don’t fight the corner. This works especially well when you’re butting darker and lighter colors together. — Shaun Kalis
