We have a lot of trees on our property, and their sap drips all over our garden hoses. Trying to get the sap off my hands every time I watered was a pain until I discovered this easy trick: Use cooking spray. Just a small squirt and a quick wipe with a paper towel are all it takes. I now keep a can of cooking spray out in my garage. It removes most oil-base paints and primers too. — Jon Swanick
