- 1 Bottle (4 oz.) of White Glue (Elmer’s)
- 1-1/2 Cups of Water
- 1/2 tsp. Borax
- Food Coloring
- 2 Bowls
- Whisk/Stir Stick
Make The Borax Solution
Add 1/2 tsp. of Borax to 1 cup of warm water in a measuring cup and stir until the Borax completely dissolved. Set aside.
Mix The Water & Glue
Empty the 4-ounce bottle of glue into another bowl. Add 1/2 cup of water. Stir.
Add Food Coloring
Add your food coloring to the glue mixture and stir until you get the color you want.
Combine The Solutions
Pour the glue solution into the Borax solution. Mix until your whisk gets gummed up. Now you have to get your hands dirty (or use gloves) and continue to knead and mix the slime until you finally get the consistency you desire.
Storing The Slime
Store the slime in a resealable bag or an airtight container. The slime should hold tight for a few weeks. If you leave it out for more than a few hours, the slime should recover and still be useful but anything more than a day left out will likely ruin the slime and possibly whatever it was resting on. Be careful and have fun with your slime!
