All pests are annoying, no matter where you live. But according to Google Trends, there are some pests that can be peskier than others depending on where you live. Based on the most recent Google Trends in the past year, some bugs have been popular on search engines compared to others. When looking five of the most common household pests, it seems that some states are heavily searching for some pests over others.
To see what people are searching for, we put in five pests into a Google Trends report: Spiders, ants, mice, cockroaches, and bed bugs. The data is based on the number of times that topic was searched on Google within that state.
Once the data collected, two particular pests seem to be at the top. In the past twelve months, bed bugs and mice have been two of the most popular pests searched on Google. Surprisingly, ants seem to annoy only two states compared to the other 48. Cockroaches and spiders still have a handful of searches.
Although some terms were still strong searches within each state, these household pests were searched the most in each state:
