Cozy Focal Point
We love this tiny home from @handcraftedmovement for its light and bright walls, but the thing that really makes it stand out is the DIY “fireplace.” Framing a simple electric fireplace stove with narrow wood beams transforms it into a beautiful focal point for the living room area, without a bulky mantle. For more inspiration, check out these other DIY fireplaces that are almost as good as the real thing.
If it feels as if your tiny space is missing something, it probably needs a houseplant! They provide big impact without taking up too much space — great for tiny homes. A shelf above the bed provides a perfect light-filled spot in what may otherwise serve as unused space in @madefreeco‘s serene tiny bedroom.
Rustic Wood Accent Wall
A planked wood accent wall creates a lovely modern-rustic vibe in the Magnolia Tiny Home by Summit Tiny Homes. Both the diagonal layout shown here — a fun twist on traditional shiplap — and those placed vertically make a small space look larger by pulling the eye up. Use real wood or these peel-and-stick vinyl planks!
Stylish Kitchen Storage
Open kitchen shelves provide an accessible spot for daily-use items and frees up counter space — especially helpful when that space is at a premium, such as in this tiny kitchen from @liberation_tiny_homes. We also love how simply changing up the tile behind the stovetop adds visual interest.
No Wasted Space
The husband and wife team @thedekkertrekkers transformed an RV into a boho-chic tiny home for their family of five. We love how these efficient little bunk beds carve out a cozy haven for their young boys, with built-in bedside lighting and underbed storage baskets that utilize every inch of space.
Efficient Work Space
Yes you can fit a home office into a tiny home! Tony and Charlie Perez of @tinyhomiez only had about 225 sq. ft. to work with, so they nestled a treasured desk made by friends between the living room and the small stairs/storage center leading to a loft bedroom. Instant office! Especially when you’re short on space, choose a desk with plenty of storage for everything you need so you don’t have to look elsewhere.
