Ego Power+ Backpack Battery

This is the heart of Ego’s new commercial series yard tools. This beefy battery has some heft to it, but no more than a gas-powered backpack and we found the shoulder straps and waist harness carry its weight comfortably. Other features include:

  • 56V 28Ah lithium-ion battery;
  • Air vents keep you and battery cool;
  • Heavy-duty waterproof connection cable;
  • Works with all Ego Power+ commercial series tools;
  • Two-year commercial warranty

This battery and its case are tough and durable. It’s designed to handle wet conditions when finishing up jobs amid sudden showers. This is peace of mind when you’re shouldering enough voltage to deliver power, with run times similar to gas-powered tools. The best thing? The fuel in this backpack burns clean and costs little, which is good for your bottom line and great for the environment.

Ego Power+ Blower

Most landscape and yard contractors would feel lost without a blower in hand these days. But most cordless blowers can’t rival the performance of a gas blower. Ego has raised the bar for cordless blowers with this new Power+ edition. Features include:

  • Four level settings including turbo boost mode;
  • 146 MPH airspeed on boost mode;
  • High-efficiency brushless motor;
  • Additional round and flat nozzle;
  • Ergonomic design for superb balance and user comfort.

On turbo-boost mode, this blower will deliver 600 CFM which does indeed rival gas blowers. The vibration is noticeably lower than gas blowers, and it’s lightweight as well, all making it great to handle and easy on the forearms. Ego has been refining its cordless blowers, and to this point have mostly met the needs of homeowners. This blower, however, proves it finally achieved that degree of performance expected by a pro.

Ego Power+ Hedge Trimmer

There is an art to sculpting a hedge, and the last thing you need is a heavy, cumbersome tool that distracts from crafting a good cut. This light and maneuverable Ego hedge trimmer offers the kind of precision needed for consistently shaping a fine hedge. Its notable features include:

  • 25-in. dual-action, hardened steel blades;
  • 1-1/4-in. cut capacity;
  • 3600 strokes per minute;
  • Serviceable, stay sharp blades;
  • High-efficiency brushless motor.

The cut capacity of this trimmer is impressive, permitting deeper pruning tasks easily in the appropriate season. We also like the trigger system that wraps around the entire handle. This gives on-off operation regardless of where you grab the handle. All in all, a smooth, safe, and smart tool to operate. What more can you ask for?
