Stuff We Love Heats Up
On this week’s edition of Stuff We Love, Marty Dyck takes a look at two unique products that both bring the heat to the jobsite. The dynamic duo includes a quick-heating heat gun from RIDGID and a portable jobsite coffee maker from Makita.

Broiling with butane
It’s not really surprising that RIDGID’s 18V Cordless Butane Heat Gun gets really hot, really fast. While it’s impressive that the gun can output a maximum of 1100 F, what really makes this gun special are its other features. The gun’s active cooling mode returns the tool to safe temperatures faster, and its kickstand provides stability and support while the tool is in use. The RIDGID Butane Heat Gun is available online for $109 (battery and butane canisters are sold separately).
The best part of waking up…
The fact that you go to a jobsite instead of an office in the morning doesn’t mean that you don’t deserve a hot, freshly made cup of coffee to start your day. Makita’s Cordless Coffee Maker is a portable and battery-operated machine that can brew a five-ounce cup of coffee in five minutes. The device doesn’t require filters and it even comes with an adapter for brewing coffee single-serve coffee pods.
