Like most of us, Vern Schleyer didn’t have enough cabinet space. Unlike most of us, he came up with an ingenious solution: He bought a couple of 12-in.-deep cabinets, ran them across his table saw to make them 6 in. deep and finished them to match his existing cabinets. Then he cut out some drywall and mounted the cabinets in the wall. The result: extra storage without any loss of elbow room in the kitchen.
