When work needs to be done in high places, you grab a ladder. However, when the work in high places requires a fair amount of tools, it is easy to drop one out of reach. That’s why you’ll want to add a magnet to the end of every tape measure after reading this tip!

You can pick up a tool, hardware or other metal-based object that you may drop from a ladder, behind a cabinet or other out-of-reach place with a rare earth magnet attached to your tape measure. If you drop an object off of your ladder, place the magnet on the hook of your tape measure, extend it and retrieve the item! All without ever taking a step down from your ladder.  The magnet and the tape are strong enough to even pick up something as heavy as a hammer.
