What do you with a small guest room and limited space for storage? You build a lift bed with plenty of hidden storage beneath.
“We needed a new mattress for our guest room bed. Since storage is limited in our house, we decided a lift bed might be best. Using a plan and hardware from Rockler, my husband and son built a base (18 in. deep, 60 in. wide, 80 in. long, queen size) and a plywood top to support the mattress. The lift mechanism raises the mattress and plywood up and out, opening up a lot of storage inside the bed frame! The base is held together with slotted corner brackets, so it can be easily disassembled to move the bed.” — Connie Ahlman
