Ken Cole is a one-man construction crew. Except for the drywall, he single-handedly tackled every phase of this 1,700-sq.-ft. basement project. Some of the space is practical: an office, a bathroom, some closets. But the rest is pure recreational paradise: a full bar, a poker table for hold ’em tournaments, a large seating area to watch the game, even a well-equipped gym where Ken can work off the potato chips. The project ate up Ken’s free time for a full year. Was it worth it? Absolutely.
“Now I get questions about basement finishing every day—even a couple of job offers from friends with unfinished basements.” — Ken Cole
