Sometimes it’s hard to keep from spilling when you’re adding oil. And that oil not only collects dust and dirt but also can get on the exhaust manifold and start an engine fire. (Never a good way to start the day.) Prevent the mess and danger just by wrapping a rag around the oil filler port before adding the oil. It’ll soak up all but those Exxon Valdez–size spills
