Freelance writer and photographer Amy Grisak uses her Great Falls, Montana, home as an experiment station for her multitude of projects. Raising bees, keeping chickens, growing unusual fruits that thrive in the harsh prairie climate—there's always something new to try. Her writing appears in The Farmers' Almanac, Hobby Farms, Horticulture, Birds & Blooms, Rock & Gem, Distinctly Montana, Raised in the West and many more. When she's not trying new gardening techniques in what she jokingly calls "the land of perpetual winter," she's hiking, fishing or camping in her beautiful Montana backyard.
