After many years spent as an English teacher, adjunct literature professor and university career advisor, Barbara now educates readers about all things home improvement. She always aims to infuse a bit of humor in her writing, whether she’s covering DIY, lawn and garden trends or interior design. Barbara is the author of the novel Lucky Stiff and is currently at work on a second book. She lives in Staten Island, New York, with her husband and their dog.
