Rob Schreiber already had a lake place, but he wanted a secondary sanctuary, a place friends and neighbors could stop by anytime. So he gutted an old cabin, moved it to his lake lot and transformed it into a rustic retreat complete with log beam rafters, a handmade bar and a wood-burning fireplace. The working drawbridge in front keeps out undesirables—or sometimes keeps them in.
