I built this craft table with drawers and the leaf that with a movable support mounted on a caster. The work surfaces are covered with Formica and the body structure is coated with a clear satin polyurethane.
The unit’s base dimensions are 36 in. x 48 in. x 24 in. and the leaf is 30 in. x 48 in. It has 3-1/2-in. locking casters, and the drawers (6 in all, arranged in three rows of two) are 22 in. square and roughly 4 in. tall.
I am not an experienced cabinetmaker; I am new to woodworking and this was my second wood table project. The first one was a miter saw table built from plans in The Family Handyman magazine. It has proven to be a great help in that it doubles as the base for a small Kreg router table when it isn’t holding the saw. — Dan Meyer
