Fishing Rod Catcher
Whenever I grab a fishing rod, it always catches on the line from another rod, and it’s quite a headache to untangle the lines. To solve the problem, I cut an 8-ft. 1×4 in half and used 1-in. screws to mount 1-1/4 in. PVC caps (42 cents each) on one 1×4 4 in. apart. On the second 1×4, I equally spaced 1-1/4 in. PVC couplings (35 cents each). I screwed the 1×4 with the caps to the wall a foot off the floor, and the one with couplings 6 ft. off the floor and directly above it. The rod tips slide up through the couplings and the handles rest in the caps.
