If your cordless drill tends to tip over because the base footprint is too small, snap it to attention with this tip from reader Gary Galetta. Cut a wider base from 1/4-in. plywood and attach it to the bottom of the battery with Velcro strips.Your drill will now stay put when you set it down, and the base will be easy to remove when you need to use the drill in tight spaces.
