Are you asking a question or making a statement? Hard to decide if I should take the time to answer....

I am not aware of an "organic" preemergent for the seeds (frost kills the plants I believe). The best way to keep out crab grass is to have a healthy lawn, so, be aggressive about having a healthy lawn while being as organic as you desire and that will help keep the crab grass down.

There are some things that you can try to handle the crab grass after it is up (things like corn gluten and high concentrate vinegar), but the most effective method I have found is to simply dig it up and totally remove it. This will also prevent more seeds.

I am hoping that the herbicide you mention to kill crabgrass is non-toxic. If it isn't i hate to believe that a large following such as yours , can't suggest something that won't hurt the environment and is safe for kids and animals
