I recently reinforced my door frame with a reinforcement plate. There were 2 break-ins in my neighborhood this year and I didn't want to take any chances. Both times the intruders kicked in the back door when the homeowner was gone. I used a company I found online www.break-inbarrier.com. The product is high quality and easy to install. I feel safer with these on my house.

I used this to reinforce exterior doors in an older home. The doors were original, and although solid, I decided I needed some extra security against the possibility of an attempted breakin. The project was easy and took about 45 minutes to an hour to complete.

Also changed the screws in the hinges. Put 3" screws through to the studs also reinforcing the door.
