While remodeling a bedroom, I needed to remove some old plaster lath boards from a corner of a wall. Lacking a reciprocating saw, I just pushed in on the boards until they broke. Unfortunately, on the other side of the wall, the lath boards, acting as levers, pivoted away from the bath wall studs and broke out the plaster. I hadn’t planned to remodel the bathroom, but my angry wife informed me that that would be my next project.
