Great Goofs: Just Plumb Wrong

Level the bus before you level the walls

Just Plumb Wrong

My father-in-law asked me to convert his newly acquired Greyhound bus into a camper. Being pretty handy, I got right on the project, working every weekend for several months. I took great pains to get every new partition plumb and level. Finally the project was complete and my father-in-law drove the bus from my place over to his. Upon entering the bus at his house, I was horrified to see that all the partitions were a few degrees out of plumb! It hadn't occurred to me that the bus wasn't level when it was parked at my house. - Mike Moody
