Like the way this talks about the problem associated with taping drywall. There is a good how to manual on taping drywall on the TapeBuddy .net website how to page. You should check it out. Good info that helps to understand the process and get the job done well.

I use a tool to apply the compound directly to the tape so the tape draws the moisture from the moist compound. You just take the coated tape to the joint and embed. Works fast and doesn't have any dry spots or blisters. Nothing worse than being ready to paint and finding blisters that need repaired.

This is an excellent article. Very clearly explained with pictures that worth more than 1000 words of theoretical explanation. Not only amateures, but any high school girl can do this job.
