I would like to know how to fasten screws to drywall. I put up a fence inside my house for the dogs not to go to the door every time some one rings the doorbell. The screws will not stay in the drywall...Any help would be appreciated..

It should be mentioned in the painting stage to use a PVA primer specifically made for unpainted drywall and joint compound before apply the top coat. Otherwise you can get shiny areas.

Rather than looking for a scrap piece of drywall to cut to size, I used the Drywall Plug. It was easy to use and fast. They have a demo on their website www.BPMIusa.com.

I find that using fiberglass mesh screening....used for window and door screen is a great thinner substitute than the tapes you have suggested and it worked great...it was easier to mud and keep everything pretty thin!

I used fiberglass mesh screen for the taping.....it's thiner than any of the other suggested tapes you recommend.....it seems strong enough and is easier to mud at least in my mind.
