Another great idea is to put chalk paint on tape measure to write down measurements. Wipe's off easy and you don't have to add tape..

I liked all of the tips! I do carpentry for a living and most of these tips really work. I carry a 22 once straight claw hammer. I also have the same Poter/ Cable brad-nailer. I have others but found this one to be the best because of the size choices with it. I have a tip instead of lugging my heavey duty compressor around for small jobs I bought a small inexpensive one for $59.00 at Habor Freight Tools. It came with a 25 foot coil compressor line and it is great for those easy brad nailing jobs. For $10.00 more you can get a 2 year extended warranty. Thanks Family Handyman.
