Good ideas here. Do your homework. One caution: If you use CARFAX for a vehicle report, don't rely too much on what it states. CARFAX can miss a lot of major items. Used CARFAX to research buying a 1995 Nissan P/U. CARFAX had NO mention that the truck had been totaled and had a new front end put on it. I could tell after a very detailed inspection, because everything didn't match up right. Still bought the truck, but I did NOT give the buyer what he thought the truck was worth. So don't rely too much on CARFAX>
