This was a lifesaver. I was awakened at 3:00a.m. to water spraying my basement. I have no idea how many years the hose had been in place. I have lived in the house for over 12 years. WD 40 nor Liquid Wrench would work. THANK YOU!!!

I just fixed this problem today using this idea and it worked like a charm. I really didn't have a good idea how to tackle this problem prior to this article. Thanks a bunch!
