How about removing nails without damaging the wood. I have 18 penny nails holding kitchen cabinets to the wall. I obviously want to drill a perfect small circle around the nailhead so I can at least grab & start the nail out. And I have 30+ nails to pull (a 1950s hack job). I don't want it to take forever by carefully chiseling around the nailhead...

I remove a lot of nails when replacing home siding on my jobs. I use a cat's claw bar all of the time. When the nail is a long one sometimes you do not have enough torque to get it out. Can't find a piece of wood to stick under the claw ? Did you ever wonder why that hammer head has a little curved area behind the head. Well your cat's claw fits right in there for that extra area for more torque. Works every time!
