I am a first-time DIY drywall finisher. I hired a guy to install the drywall and I helped. He borrowed me his banjo and gave me a quick lesson on how to use it. It turned out to be a fabulous tool. I highly recommend it.

A TapeBuddy taping machine sounds much easier to work with. I've been working with drywall for 30+ years and have read many articles on taping and finishing drywall. This was well written but looks like it will take some time to manage a banjo. I'd recommend using a TapeBuddy drywall tape machine. It's a lot easier to work with just the mudded tape and not the whole machine.
