Don't bother with a 15 gauge nailer. 16 gauge is much more common. 15 gauge nails are hard to find

Several years ago (before I had money for good tools) I used a hammer and nail to attach crown molding in our kitchen. Needless to say, I needed several tubes of caulk and extra paint to hide the imperfections. The nailer makes this job a snap. Well worth the investment if you are planning to do multiple rooms.
