I created an account just so I could thank you for these tips! Using a screw instead of shims to adjust the bottom is such a neat trick -- easily adjustable and won't squirm around while you attach your piece -- I'll definitely keep that in mind :)

These tips are really great, and they helped me out a lot. However, what I haven't seen is any tips for cutting baseboard for wall angles greater than 90 degrees. Should traditional coping techniques be used? I have tried and so far results are pretty poor. Help!

I would like to thank you for these clear and ehlpful instructions. I recently installed flooring in my bathroom, used some of these tips from yr book TFH, i am looking forward to my next project -- the kitchen! With these tips i actually think i can do it myself. :-)

omw ... I would give anything to have found this article first. Like was said before the tips in here were great and would have answered I lot of questions I had along the way. Not sure why it didn't come up with my google search for advice until now?!?!? Keep up the good work. Thank you

Excellent tips and advice. I read several "how to install baseboards" and they did not cover any of these issues or provide the solutions like this one did. AAA+
