Many luxury cars have bright white, high-intensity discharge headlights. If you like the look, you can customize almost any car's headlights with these special Sylvania bulbs.

Luxury cars have expensive high-intensity discharge (HID) headlights that project a bright white (actually bluish) light. You can buy a “drop-in” HID conversion kit for your vehicle online for $80. Unfortunately, that’s illegal. To get nearly the same custom headlight look legally, just pop in these new Sylvania 9005 SilverStar zXe bulbs.
The zXe bulbs mimic the look of HID light by using a mixture of xenon and halogen gas at a higher pressure. And they provide the same beam pattern as the factory bulbs. Even though they deliver the same light output as halogen bulbs, independent research shows that drivers perceive the whiter light as 50 percent brighter than their old bulbs.
Find the SilverStar zXe bulbs ($60 a pair) at any auto parts store or through our affiliation with amazon.com.
Avoid last-minute shopping trips by having all your materials ready ahead of time. Here's a list.
