I wish I would have read this before I attempted soldering on my own. My joints have too much solder on one side and none on the other because I heated the fitting and moved the flame away before I put the solder to the pipe. How do I remove the pipes to start over?

when soldering copper fittings...only heat the fittings; when soldering valves, aim you heat towards the copper (away from valve handle) to avoid overheating the valve and causing it to "pop". also avoid unsoldering valves...cut it out, or add a new one down the line
