Our tub drain clogged every few weeks. While looking for a stronger chemical cure I saw a Zip-It. This inexpensive plastic tool cleaned the drain and no trouble for six months.

I found that a common drill with bit will work very well on clogged bathtub drains. Just stick the drill bit down the drain and pull the trigger. It will wrap all that gunky hair and slime around the bit and then just pull it out.
