My owner wishes to paint my home and he said to me because I smoke I would need a heavy duty primer. I thought heavy duty primers were for only rod and metal; and not for walls.

My brother told me the heavy duty primer is also toxic. I have an auto-immune deficiency and my owner's comments on this primer worries me about my healthy and I have 2 cats.

Which primer would you suggest. He did fix the ceiling in my kitchen because the roof leaked and he has put in some new jip rock and plaster.
