We have started to follow just the deck building portion of this project, but we cant seem to understand what you used to connect the ledger opposite of the house to the concrete footings. Most base fittings that can be bought at home depot only accommodate 4" wide beams. Did you double up your ledger to create a 4" wide beam?

What kind of strong tie connector do you recommend?
