When removing old facets you frequently encounter the facet being attached with larger plastic nuts. These are often difficult to remove with a facet wrench. Using a piece of 1 1/2 PVC approximately 18 inches long and cutting notches in one end will allow you to use the PVC as a facet wrench and is much easier to use.

A tip from the Pro's When installing the new wasteline / drain use plumbers putty it is much more forgiving then silicone which can get messy. And when you are instaling the drain plug make sure you put the drain plug tip with the hole facing the pivot rod. This will prevent the plug from slipping off when in the full up or down position. Also do not over tighten the rubber gaskit that is the one between the drain assembly and the bottom of the sink, it will leak if you do. Just snug it a little at a time until you get no leaks.
