If your 5600 Economiser is continuously running to drain, there's a good chance that you can fix it by replacing the piston and seal and spacer kit. Total cost of parts might be $75 from a local water softener store. Once you've got it up and running, make sure you breathe some life back into the resin by using a resin cleaning product like one of these: http://www.aquatell.com/water-softeners/pro-products
