Word of CAUTION: The improper mounting device could be responsible for the wobble of your ceiling fan. If you are planning to replace an existing light fixture with a ceiling-suspended (paddle) fan, the outlet box or outlet box fixture MUST be listed and marked as "Acceptable for fan support." These requirements are found in the NEC 314.27(C). Keep in mind, your existing outlet box may or may not be able to support the weight of the fan and the light kit. Be Safe !

We used a nickle and dime with some tape, and wa-la, balanced, and been running like a top now for 11 yrs. Just need to remember those coins are up there when cleaning the blades, but 15 cents beats 20 bucks.
