What do we do about the LED displays of our ovens that stop working? Two friends and I all have our 5 to 10 year old ranges with non-working LED displays. We "count" our button presses till we get the temperature we want. We have all looked into how much it would cost to replace the display and all have come up with a $300.00 or more figure. Oven manufacturers are smart, if they make crap for ranges then you have to buy a new one. Us stubborn American women who refuse buy a new range have to live with counting.....An oven used to last 20 years or more. You cant even buy an oven with the old fashioned dial temperature gauge. What a waste of money. What a waste of 100 lb's of steel. What a RIP OFF.

A great idea if you have a digital thermostat in your stove. I don't. I just have to remember it's approximately 25 degrees hotter than the dial says, ie if receipe calls for 350 I set it at 325 and never set it above 375 or you'll burn everything. lol!
